The Star that Always Shines Bright

“God’s promises are like the stars: the darker the night, the brighter they shine.”

– David Nichols

Thankful for Thorns and the Roses

“Some People complain that God put thorns on roses, while others praise Him for putting roses on thorns.”

We Christians have many reasons to celebrate. God is in His heaven; Christ has risen, and we are the sheep of his flock. Yet sometimes, even the most devout Christian can become discourage. After all, we live in a world where expectations can be high and demands can be even higher. If you become discourage with the direction of your day or your life, turn your thoughts and prayers to God. He is a God of possibility, not negativity. He will help you count your blessings instead of your hardships. And then, with a renewed spirit of optimism and hope, you can think the Giver of all things good for gifts that are simply too numerous to count.

Dear Lord….I pray for an attitude that is Christlike. Whatever the circumstances I face, whether good or bad, triumphal or tragic, may my response reflect a God-honoring Christlike attitude of optimism, faith, and love for You.

Still Waiting for a Revival?

You want revival? Welcome Him. He was born in a manger –  He’s not that picky where He shows up. Just learn to recognize the One you’ve welcomed. And jealously guard that presence.

By His Grace

“Our worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace. And your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need of God’s Grace.”

– Jerry Bridges

Remove The Platform From Your Enemy!

luke 10_19

The devil is never the problem. The platform we give him to stand on is the problem. When you remove his platform, he has nowhere from which to speak into your life. Nothing to stand on! No Voice!

– Bill Johnson

In the Midst of Chaos

There is NO situation so chaotic that God cannot from that situation, create something that is Surpassingly GOOD. He did it at the creation. He did it at the cross. He is doing it today!

– Handley C. G. Moule

Do you have the mind of Christ?

We cannot bring our carnal, judgmental minds into Christianity and expect to succeed in becoming Christlike. To become like Him is to be conformed to the One, whoever lives to make intercession for the saints. To have the mind of Christ is to have the mind of Him who died to redeem the world.

– Francis Frangipane

Walking through Hardship

At times, when we’re going through hardship, we think we’re going through it on our own. We feel trapped in the dark…lost in the woods….or going in circles through a maze. All we have to do is follow the leader. He knows the way out!

God does not lead His children around hardship. He leads them straight through hardship. BUT He Leads! And amidst the hardship, He is nearer to them than ever before.

– Otto Dibelius
